Presents in the Post

I love getting nice post. It's just a shame that nice post doesn't arrive more often than boring post!

However, last week I received a lovely present in the post from my friend Rachel. It was completely unexpected and great to come home to after along day at work. She had wrapped it beautifully (no picture I'm afraid) and inside were these lovely things.

She knows how much I love elephants, so got me the cute elephant stickers. A little keyring of my initial, some deco tape and a gorgeous pale pink bracelet. They're all fab, she knows me too well. I will need to send something back to her soon.

On another note, I'm hoping that the next time I post I will have a new 'look' to my blog by Artwork by Angie. Can't wait!!

Thanks for reading.
Love Rachel xx

Friendship

I know this isn't the kind of thing I usually blog about, but I've thought about it alot lately.
I've often felt that real friends are hard to find.
Growing up, friends come and go, it's all about whose popular, whose not popular. I was always a bit of a flitter, had various friends in different circles of people, who rarely socialised in the same place at the same time. I got on well with boys, as I felt girls could sometimes be bitchy and competitive.

At 6th form I made a good group of friends, but time went quickly and before we knew it we were heading off all over the country to university and it has been difficult to all get together at the same place and at the same time since.

This weekend, I had the chance to meet up some people I lived with in my third and fourth year of university. This group of friends are different to any I've had before, as really, we don't have a great deal in common with each other.
I was a little anxious about meeting them as it had been a good couple of years since we were together last, but it felt like we were never apart. They're the sort of friends that don't talk behind your back, and love you for the things that other people might dislike you for.
I loved meeting up with these fantastic friends, and it was being with them that made me realise I had missed them so much. However, it made me think about the fact that even though I don't see them all the time, they're still there and the friendship remains the same.

We had a great time and it was really sad to say goodbye.

THANK-YOU
